Gabriel Gomez
Gabe Gomez is a published author and freelance music & culture writer. Gabe has taught English and creative writing at the University of New Orleans, Tulane University, the College of Santa Fe and the Institute of American Indian Arts. He holds a BA in creative writing from the College of Santa Fe and an MFA in creative writing from Saint Mary's College of California. His poetry, prose and essays have been published widely. His is first book of poems The Outer Bands won the Andres Montoya Poetry Prize from the University of Notre Dame Press in 2006. His latest poetry collection, The Seed Bank, will be published in 2012.

Gabe has been involved with the New Mexico music community in several capacities, as both a music journalist and radio show host. In 2009, the City of Santa Fe awarded him his own "day" for service to the Santa Fe Arts and Cultural Community. Gabe is currently the Director of External Affairs for the Santa Fe Indian Market. He lives in Santa Fe with his wife Julie and his two adopted doggies, Calder and Miro.
